Our Last Iftar 2013 Together

Date: 19 July 2013


For over a month, my baby sis Winzie was staying with us, as a maid... Haha, just joking!

On her last day in Toowoomba, we decided to cook for Iftar together. So I made nasi lemak with fried chicken and Winzie made bee cupcakes!


This rarely happens, me cooking for Iftar this year... Hihi...


The next morning, we had our Sahur at 3 AM and off we went to Gold Coast Airport to send her home.

Date : 3rd November 2013 Bald Rock is a 3-hours drive from Toowoomba and I have been thinking of visiting it since last year. But I was not sure if it was a suitable trip for an infant. However, it is the largest granite monolith in Australia, which means it is a must-go! So best buds, Julie Zac and Zayra came to visit on 1st November. Date: 24 December 2010 Author: Marian Keyes She is definitely one of my favourite authors ever. The first book from her that I read was Under the Duvet, and the second was The Other Side of The Story - both I borrowed from UTM's library. She writes about characters with real life issues and manage to make the situation light although it's actually a dark topic. At the end of the day, readers will learn about complicated issues without feeling depressed. She delivers the message and adds humor to it - just brilliant! Plus, I learned a few Irish words! Sushi for Beginners is about the lives of 3 different ladies, all facing depressions. Different characters have a different coping mechanism.
