Liverpool VS Harimau Malaya!!

Image
The Reds Against The Champions Of South East Asia! Date: 16 July 2011 The first time I saw The Reds played live was in Singapore back in 2009. They won 2-0 against the Singapore National Team. At Singapore National Stadium, 2009 I had no plans to see them in Bukit Jalil this time around but thanks to Dad's friend, I got free grandstand tickets!! Yippi doo daa! Our Tickets! Hasben shopping!   Hasben and Gerrard together~ We sat in front of 2 English ladies who by the way, were seriusly sweating... I'm sure this is no Anfield! Harimau Malaya was playing quite well, like a true SEA champ! Player Line Up The dissapointing part of the whole thing was, the absence of Gerrard and Suarez. In Singapore, I got to see all the star players: Gerrard, Torres (not really a fan), Mascherano (I hope I spelt that right), Alonso, Reina etc. But seeing Dirk Kuyt scored made my day! Torresrist! Haha! The best part was, it was a goal fiesta! The result was 6-3, proved that the Harimaus ...

Digital Weighing Scale!

Image
Healthy and Happy! Date: 3 May 2011 Yeahh!! My company gave out gifts to to all its employees for HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Appreciation Day ... A digital weighing scale with BMI chart! Best of all - from a reliable source - he says the scale cost RM150 each! I love free branded stuff! The brand: Fitness Concept! Just like my yoga mat, the one I bought with Julie Zac. 21 Jan 2011 - Fresh yoga mats from Great Eastern Mall! Thank you CUF!! I'm loving it! It's time to weigh my big bump!

Torres The Traitor!

Image
Google It is unfair for us Liverpool fans to call Torres a traitor. I mean, many players come and go for the sake of their careers. However, in the current state of the football club, at 6th place on the EPL table at the moment, the expensive striker chose to leave Liverpool for an upgraded salary. His dream for a title may have influenced him to join Chelsea... at the same time, crushing the hearts of many Liverpool fans. I personally feel that it's not such a big loss. After all, it is not like loosing Michael Owen, who was Liverpool raised, and more deadlier on the field... and joined Man U later on... I mean, what was he thinking?? Google Torres in Blue! On his debut at Chelsea, Torres failed to impress his new team and fans - straight from Hasben's mouth - and made us Liverpool fans say, "Who needs him?" The Star Liverpool won 1-0 at Stamford Bridge WITHOUT Torres' help, thank you very much!

Me & Smash-Smash!

The Little Badminton Tournament! Date: 27 December 2010 Smash-smash! A badminton tournament Wani and I organised for our department. It's hard work to organise a sporting event, especially all by ourselves... so we gathered a few friends and officemates to help us out. I am lousy in managing things, I can't even manage myself properly let alone 50 people! Without my fellow troops, the nightmare I had about the event being a failure would have surely come true! The things you need for a badminton tournament: 1) Badminton courts - Minimum 2. (in my nightmare, it was the size of a ping-pong table) 2) Shuttles - minimum 3 packs. 3) Food, drinks, and plenty of mineral water! 4) A proper schedule - must make sure that no players have more than 1 game at one time. 5) Throphies! 6) Enough players! 7) Enough referees and linesmen! 8) Enough score sheets! 9) Sufficient pen for marking. With all this in place, the tournament started with loads and loads of SMAS...

Me & Yoga!

Image
The Journey To A Fabulous Body! Everytime I'm feeling flabby/fatty or after watching Eva Longoria in Desperate Housewife, there's always the need for a good old workout! I have many workout DVDs - Hip Hop, Bellydancing, Aerobic, Boot Camp, and Yoga - but I find yoga to be more challenging, requires limited space (you don't have to jump here and there - hazardous on my IKEA glass cupboard), and takes only 10 minutes for me to sweat like hell. Please note that the yoga performed is purely for exercise and not for spiritual purposes. During my single days, Julie Zac and I were very active in doing yoga. With baju kelawar and pyjamas, we switched on our laptop, and followed Denise Austin as best as we can... most of the time . At some point, we just watched her put her legs in the air while we catch our breaths. During this girlie and healthy time together, we chatted.... a lot! Sometimes, I can't understand what Julie Zac was saying - with her head under her chest a...

How I Became A Liverpool Fan!

Image
The History Behind The Loyal Supporter! Maybe it is not so wise to admit that I am a Liverpool FC fan this time around, when they are at 12th place in the English Premier League table. I can imagine the smirks on MU's fans when they read this. But it's better to go down with the team than being a traitor... in Arabic, this sort of people are called Munafik ! Ptui... ptui ! Michael Owen... Traitor! I have a habit that may sound weird to others... I dislike things that many people like. If a certain someone or something is popular, than I imediately have no intention to join the club. For example, nearly everyone I know is playing Farmville in Facebook... they keep sending me Farmville requests, which I ignored. Instead, I chose to play Sorority Life - which the only people who send me gifts are Sistah (who was forced to play) and Hasben (who in actual fact is me, using his account to send me stuff, Looser ~!). Okay, let's go back in time... ni no ni no naa..~ The yea...

Me & Squash!

Image
Dream Becomes Reality - Not Your Typical Happy Ending! In our university years, Julie Zac and I had promised many times to play squash together. During our evening jogs, or some atheletes would say, walks, we talked about borrowing squash rackets and hitting the court... the bad news was, there was no one to borrow them from. Buying the rackets would be just impossible back then. It will cost us 2/5 of our monthly allowance! So the dream of becoming Nicole David got wiped away by financial inadequacy, ahaks! During our evening jog - UTP Sports Complex Ting tong ting tong... 1 year after graduation... Both of us started working in Kerteh where there's a company squash court we could use. Now, with rackets of our own, hers being the more expensive one (just can't resist to write, haha!), we fulfilled our university-days promise. The Battle Begins! The expensive racket, Nike shoes and nearly out of frame - Adidas sports watch~ We tried our best to make it a weekly ev...
