The Good Boy!

Image
Today, every time I finished praying, right after giving salam, Kimi would proudly come to me with a big smile and say: Ibu... Ibu... Look! Kimi no naughty ~~ Kimi real good boy! And continued what he was doing (playing ipad / watch tv / playing with his cars). At first, I wondered what he was talking about. Then I realised that he was referring to the fact that he did not disturb me while I was praying. He used to hide under my telekung or walk across the sejadah or tried to climb over my shoulders. He felt triumphant that he managed to refrain himself from doing any of this. Funny... I wonder what was on his mind, "To be 'a real good boy'... Or not? Hmmm..."

Book: Bad Behaviour

Author: Sheila O'Flanagan Yeay! I actually did it! Managed to finish this book within 4 days. Never thought I could have my private reading time back. But I must admit, I did rush a few pages, stayed up till 1AM when the boys were sound asleep, and got interrupted more than a couple of times at interesting parts. It did help that this book is an absolute page turner! Bought it from Vinnies: Book + a Corelle plate + Kimi's toy car = $1! What a bargain! Summary: Two very different girls, who were best friends, became enemies when one decided to run away with the other's boyfriend. Darcey was holding a 10 year grudge on Nieve which ruined her other relationships with men but propelled her career. And the story tells how letting go of the past will help Darcy move on. Bad behaviours all around! Loved how Ms O'Flanagan puts a lot of reference to multiculturalism without being too obvious. She actually had 'nasi himpit' and 'cili sambai' for the wed

Our Fifth Anniversary!

How time flies...  I am entering my 5th year as a wife. And how lucky I am to call myself a HOUSEwife. Cleaning up after the kids all day long,  forgetting what day it was, memorising every single cartoon song on TV, restraining myself from excessive shopping... I feel like a college student on a semester break, but without the freedom of sleeping, playing game, movie marathon and novel reading. Awesome! (-_-)" (But honestly, it is AWESOME!) Anyway, here's what I baked: Yeah... I know, all my cakes look exactly the same, haha!   We had our dinner at... You guessed it,  Sofras: Hasben gave me a card from Hallmark: And finally, my tini tiny present arrived through Australian Post today.  Bought Hasben and I each a miniature perfume. They are the size of my thumb! Hasben said, "Since my wife stopped working, the presents are getting smaller and smaller... I bet this only costed you a dollar.. " Dayummm sonnnn! Haha! Anyway, I would like to

Scenic Circuit Track Date : 10 Jan 2015 Our frugal anniversary trip this year involved some serious exercise, which I think is Hasben-approved.  He bought one of those fit bands on boxing day that tracks your steps and calorie burns and force you to be healthy, etc... I just don't get what all the hoohaas about. Not a gadget I want on me 24-7. Anyway, we decided to do some bush walking with Abg Zul's family. I chose the Scenic Circuit Track since it was the most popular track. 4KM round trip,  meaning that we walked in a big (HUGE) circle which felt endless and left everyone super tired. You can imagine that our group was not the fittest, with 5 children including my 3 year old and 6 month old. The track entrace is at the Dandabah Picnic Area Car Park,  not to be confused with the Dandabah Camp Ground. Everyone was super hyped and started the journey with smiles and laughters and camera posing. Hasben, baby wearing Afi. This is Afi's first bush walk,  yay!

New Year Party!

(Wow...! Tajuk tak sedar diri) It all started with a foldable table. Have been looking for this piece of furniture for quite some time now. Aldi was having promotions on camping gadgets, and this was advertised: Note: Our opinion is that it is not very sturdy and we might buy a more expensive one. Eeeekkkk!   It came with its own bag! And knowing me, anything that comes with a bag is a must have! Yes people, I am a bagaholic, a condition genetically passed on by my mother. And am pretty sure will be inherited by my daughter (if I'm lucky enough to have one). So to test-drive this table, I have decided to ask some friends over for breakfast. Cooked nasi impit soto for the first time in my whole entire career as a chef (kuang3). The tricky part was that neither Hasben nor I actually remembered how a soto should taste like. Oh well,  the worst that could happen is that no one will come to my next party. Anyway, it was lovely to catch up with the ladies as you can im

Happy New Year 2015!

And I am Thirty!  Another new year in Toowoomba. Could possibly be my last one though. Anyway, am currently writing this post using my 'new' Samsung Note 3. A belated birthday present from Hasben. He was very determined to convert me (yet again) to Androidisme...  Since I totally disliked my previous S2, he let me experience this Note 3 for about 3 days to let me decide whether I would like to maintain my iPhone 5, or convert. Needless to say, here I am, married to this Note 3. Loving the S Pen and hopefully, I won't need a tablet anymore :-) But honestly, I do miss my Apple apps. Me turning 30? Not the best thing to happen.  Kind of  worried about the usual things - wrinkles, pigmentation, flabbiness... Anyway, the birthday dinner was celebrated a day later because Sofras was fully booked on 23rd November. I 'kumpul kelaparan' to ensure that I enjoyed the food,  and Hasben was looking embarrassed: Ju,  please stop eating and breath. Since Hasben didn&#
