The Search for Surfer Dudes... Failed! Date: 14 March 2011 Gold Coast, Australia... Home of surfers, strutting their skills with the wave! We arrived at Coolangata Airport, GC at 9am local time and was sent straight to our lodging at Marine Parade by our pre-booked van driver. "Safi Sali" has just arrived at Gold Coast Airport! Lodging: Blue Waters Apartment It is located away from the main attraction, Surfers Paradise but there's taxis for that.. So that's not a problem. Very close to Sea World but quite far from other theme parks. The apartment - spacious, nicely decorated and complete with all essential items. Cleanliness - excellent. The only drawback for me was that the bed was a bit slumpy... Maybe it's time for a mattress change. Washing machine for dirty laundry...   The slumpy bad =(   Dining table which we didn't get to use...   Beautiful kitchen... After a light nap and Zohor prayers, off we went to Sea World, the only theme park we

Movie: Red Riding Hood

Date : 21 April 2011 Hasben and I had a training week in Bangi. We made the most of it by spending all our free time in Alamanda, Putrajaya... Shopped at Esprit Outlet - which is sooo cool, up to 70% discounts! - Ate yummy2 food - Chicken Rice Shop and Kenny Rogers - And watched Red Riding Hood. I am not a fan of Twilight thus I did not expect much from this movie. However, I was really surprised that I enjoyed it so much! The movie is based on the children's fairy tale but altered in a way to suit adults viewers. Hasben and I were guessing "who is the big bad wolf?!!" through out the movie. "It's the boyfriend... No no... The fiance" and 5 minutes later... "The grandma.. I think she's evil!!" Go and watch : If you like mystery movies. Don't watch : If you hate teenage lovey dovey scenes. Rating : 8.5/10 - very much influenced by the handsome actors and beautiful snowy scenery.

Brisbane City Tour Date: 15 March 2011 What a nice morning in Gold Coast! The pick-up van came for us early in the morning for an hour ride to Brisbane... which we spent most of the time sleeping... hihi... I was surprised to find a signboard on the highway stating a place called Tanah Merah... wow... a Malay name! When we reached Brisbane Bus Terminal, our guide, Steve was ready for us. We drove around Brisbane City and viewed its historical buildings. Before this, we keep pronouncing this city as Bris-bane (as in sugarcane), but now that we have met with the locals, we learned to say it the right way, Bris-burn. An old gothic church. The way back to Gold Coast! At Kangaroo Point - a view of the city with really brownish river. The historical Breakfast Creek Hotel - seems to be facing with many flooding problems. At Bartley's Hill View Point - Another view of the city. A wealthy person's house at Bartley Hill - looks so much like

Date: 14 March 2011 Yeahhh!! A theme park PLUS  education on animals! Have fun and learn at the same time...!! >> This is what I would write if I care much about learning while on holidays. What I really feel... WOW... rides!! and cute animals!!! That's about it... Since I am currently listed on the "special people" list, I was not allowed to join my friends on most of the rides. A bit crap but.. at least I get to see the cute animals... = p Hasben at the entrance! We were welcomed by a pirate stunt show near the food court. Since our arrival, we did not have much to eat. We were super starving and could not concentrate on the park. First thing's first: LUNCH!! - Seafood and Fish & Chips!! No plastic bags at all... a very environmental friendly park! With energized spirits, we planned our day... Zera leading the trip! First was a visit to Penguin Encounters - they are just adorable! Our next destination was far across the
