Chipmunks Playland & Cafe, Toowoomba

The school holidays is nearly over. Have promised Kimi for a couple of months now to bring him and his brothers to a playland for his achievement on finishing his Muqaddam and advancing to the ‘adult Quran’.

As we arrived, he had a peek from the front door and immediately his eyes lit up!! Long story short, none of them even stopped for a rest. Hasben was also very tired as he had to monitor Adi the whole time. Burn those excess energy kids!


The way they were sweating, I think we got our money’s worth :D

Date : 3rd November 2013 Bald Rock is a 3-hours drive from Toowoomba and I have been thinking of visiting it since last year. But I was not sure if it was a suitable trip for an infant. However, it is the largest granite monolith in Australia, which means it is a must-go! So best buds, Julie Zac and Zayra came to visit on 1st November. The first book from her that I read was Under the Duvet, and the second was The Other Side of The Story - both I borrowed from UTM's library. She writes about characters with real life issues and manage to make the situation light although it's actually a dark topic. At the end of the day, readers will learn about complicated issues without feeling depressed. She delivers the message and adds humor to it - just brilliant! Plus, I learned a few Irish words! Sushi for Beginners is about the lives of 3 different ladies, all facing depressions. Different characters have a different coping mechanism.
