Purple Pansy - Flower Embellishment

Semester 2, 2019 is finally over. It has been a good experience for me as I was given some lecturing and tutoring tasks along with my usual marking responsibilities. I have only successfully completed grading 63 exam papers a couple of days back and currently - so much freedom! I just could not wait to try my hands on some new crochet projects. Since the little daisy embellishments are all sold out, I decided to work on more embellishments!


Made these medium-sized embellishments and thought they looked like purple pansies.

Took me half a day to finish all 5 flowers. I enjoyed every single minute of it!

Sewed on a little button in the middle with striking pink thread.

Looks good on a baby's crocheted hat, don't you agree?

They're now up for grabs on my eBay and Etsy store. (^u^)y

Kimi will be 3 soon and guess what, he is also a newly-appointed big brother! The first book from her that I read was Under the Duvet, and the second was The Other Side of The Story - both I borrowed from UTM's library. She writes about characters with real life issues and manage to make the situation light although it's actually a dark topic. At the end of the day, readers will learn about complicated issues without feeling depressed. She delivers the message and adds humor to it - just brilliant! Plus, I learned a few Irish words! Sushi for Beginners is about the lives of 3 different ladies, all facing depressions. Different characters have a different coping mechanism. Melbourne Weekend Getaway! Date: 13 May 2011 It is not often you hear someone say, "I'm going to Australia just for the weekend". However, it actually happened to me, not intentionally, but accidentally... I booked my flight ticket (in August 2010 for the lowest fare possible!!) without double checking and ended up with only 2 full days to spend in Melbourne. To make the best of it, I pre-booked full day tours for both days... which left out any opportunity for Melbourne city sight-seeing - how sad! From LCCT, KLIA to Melbourne Airport, it took about 8 hours flight - which I can't sleep for most part of it!! - and the time difference is plus 2 hours from Malaysia.
