Hello!

This blog was established in 2010, preserving my memories and experiences in life. Travelling across Australia, Malaysia and occasionally, if I'm lucky, to other countries! Dragging along my crew - a hubby (referred here as Hasben) and 3 boys. And sometimes, my parents, siblings and friends (^u^)

Also, I am a fabric fanatic - crazy about patterns and ALL colours! FYI, 'Belang' means stripes in the Malay language, representing multi-coloured patterns, like the rainbow - so pretty!~ I love making simple creations with my trusty old sewing machine. Hello Second Baby!

Kimi will be 3 soon and guess what, he is also a newly-appointed big brother! This time around, Prince Court is not in the picture - being full-time students, we can only afford to attend Toowoomba Base Hospital, a government hospital so this will be a whole new experience for me, not to mention being in a whole different country! A little park in front of the hospital: I had my monthly checkup at USQ clinic with Dr. Kay Brumpton, who is amazing by the way. And towards my second trimester, I had monthly visits to the hospital to see the midwives. This is the waiting area at the Antenatal Clinic: And that's Kimi climbing over the door of the play gym. Arabic Letters - Dal, Dzal, Raa and Zai

The Toowoomba Mosque has finally started construction. As you might be aware, it was subjected to an arson attack a couple of years back. So currently, efforts have been undertaken to raise funds for rebuilding the burnt mosque, and one of the ways is through Fundraising Dinners. We have attended last year's event at Brisbane. This year, it was held at Darling Height States School and the outcome was positive, with an estimated AUD200,000 raised. Anyway, for our Madrasah class, we are now learning and trying to memorise the letters Dal, Dzal, Raa and Zai. These are the Banana Letters. Dal and Dzal are the little bananas , while Raa and Zai are the big bananas . As of yesterday, my students still did not remember them, and they even forgot the ones they learnt before... Book: Sushi for Beginners

The first book from her that I read was Under the Duvet, and the second was The Other Side of The Story - both I borrowed from UTM's library. She writes about characters with real life issues and manage to make the situation light although it's actually a dark topic. At the end of the day, readers will learn about complicated issues without feeling depressed. She delivers the message and adds humor to it - just brilliant! Plus, I learned a few Irish words! Sushi for Beginners is about the lives of 3 different ladies, all facing depressions. Different characters have a different coping mechanism. Synopsis: Lisa, a beautiful, career oriented lady is the b*tch boss from hell. She'll do whatever it takes to be the best at what she does, even if it means having no friends and family.
