Heart Cushion Cover

Am not a fan of plain white for home deco. Decided to busied myself with an impromptu project. Was initially hoping to purchase some IKEA fabric to make cushion covers, but thought to myself, "Please... stop spending money... Have some self-control, woman!" Well, actually, if IKEA had online stores, I'd probably be waiting for the postman by now... (Note: IKEA is a 2-hour drive from Toowoomba. This may explain the situation better).

Ransacked my bag of leftover fabrics and found this pink cloth. Drew on a few heart shapes with a black pen. 


Traced the heart shapes with coloured threads using the sewing machine. 


And tadaa... 


Belang-belang chenta!

Kimi will be 3 soon and guess what, he is also a newly-appointed big brother! The first book from her that I read was Under the Duvet, and the second was The Other Side of The Story - both I borrowed from UTM's library. She writes about characters with real life issues and manage to make the situation light although it's actually a dark topic. At the end of the day, readers will learn about complicated issues without feeling depressed. She delivers the message and adds humor to it - just brilliant! Plus, I learned a few Irish words! Sushi for Beginners is about the lives of 3 different ladies, all facing depressions. Different characters have a different coping mechanism. Melbourne Weekend Getaway! Date: 13 May 2011 It is not often you hear someone say, "I'm going to Australia just for the weekend". However, it actually happened to me, not intentionally, but accidentally... I booked my flight ticket (in August 2010 for the lowest fare possible!!) without double checking and ended up with only 2 full days to spend in Melbourne. To make the best of it, I pre-booked full day tours for both days... which left out any opportunity for Melbourne city sight-seeing - how sad! From LCCT, KLIA to Melbourne Airport, it took about 8 hours flight - which I can't sleep for most part of it!! - and the time difference is plus 2 hours from Malaysia.
