Fabric Bookmark

Bookmarks are always awesome, even in the modern world of Kindle, kids - and adults - still prefer physical books. I, for example, loves the smell of new books! Fabric bookmarks are great for kids as they are washable and relatively durable than the common paper bookmarks. Beautiful patterns make them oh, so adorable too.
The size of these bookmarks are approximately: 17cm x 6cm - size varies slightly as they are individually handmade. Price: AUD4.50 each excluding postage. 
These were bulk ordered as farewell gifts to a classroom of friends, 12 boys and 12 girls. Enjoyed making them to encourage young minds to read and explore their imaginations.

Kimi will be 3 soon and guess what, he is also a newly-appointed big brother! The first book from her that I read was Under the Duvet, and the second was The Other Side of The Story - both I borrowed from UTM's library. She writes about characters with real life issues and manage to make the situation light although it's actually a dark topic. At the end of the day, readers will learn about complicated issues without feeling depressed. She delivers the message and adds humor to it - just brilliant! Plus, I learned a few Irish words! Sushi for Beginners is about the lives of 3 different ladies, all facing depressions. Different characters have a different coping mechanism. Synopsis: Lisa, a beautiful, career oriented lady is the b*tch boss from hell. She'll do whatever it takes to be the best at what she does, even if it means having no friends and family. Melbourne Weekend Getaway! Date: 13 May 2011 It is not often you hear someone say, "I'm going to Australia just for the weekend". However, it actually happened to me, not intentionally, but accidentally... I booked my flight ticket (in August 2010 for the lowest fare possible!!) without double checking and ended up with only 2 full days to spend in Melbourne. To make the best of it, I pre-booked full day tours for both days... which left out any opportunity for Melbourne city sight-seeing - how sad! From LCCT, KLIA to Melbourne Airport, it took about 8 hours flight - which I can't sleep for most part of it!! - and the time difference is plus 2 hours from Malaysia.
