Euro Trip - Austria

Image
Honeymoon - Part 3 Date: 15 February 2010 Innsbruck After visiting Verona, it was time for us to leave Italy and visit the next country, Austria. The mountain view along the freeway! Yeah!! We're here! Innsbruck - The town at the foot of the Alps! Our stay in Austria was very short. We arrived there in the evening, the sun was already starting to set. However, it was a very beautiful place - I think it's my most favourite town for the entire trip. I love how it is located in the broad valley between high mountains. The snow capped mountains standing very close to the town is a very spectacular sight indeed! Our first picture taking moment was with the famous Goldenes Dachl (Golden Roof) which was not exactly made of gold. It was constructed for Emperor Maximilian  in the 1500. Next we visited the house of Leopold Mozart - the father to the famous musician,  Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ! And of course, for shoppers, the mus...

Honeymoon - Part 2 Date: 12 February 2010 Rome We crossed the border between Vatican City back into Rome. The next destination was one of the 7 wonders of the world - The Colosseum ! All of a sudden, it started to snow heavily... thank God I had a water-proof camera. Our tour guide, Mr. Tan said that snowing is not a common thing in Rome, so we were lucky to experience this rare event. But not so lucky was, our pictures didn't turn out too good. The Snowy Colosseum! Hasben, "Snow!!!! Weehu..!! Wowwee!!!" Afterwards, Mr. Tan said: SHOPPING TIME ! much to the delight of the ladies in the tour group. Due to the fact that our money was well spent on the trip in the first place, shopping means 'poverty' . So instead, Hasben and I went looking for Hard Rock Cafe and sight-seeing in the city of Rome. Trevi Fountain We got a bit lost... Hard Rock Cafe... where are you?~~ Here I am~~ View of Rome from The Spanish Steps W...

1st Year Anniversary Celebration! To celebrate our 1 year of marriage, 'I' had planned a few trips both domestic and international but until the very last minute... none of the plans could be achieved. So to make things easier, 'I' (again) decided to go to Bukit Tinggi, because it's closer to Ampang - we could easily visit our parents. Hasben, the-okay-I-am-up-for-anything man agreed. We've been here 2 years ago, so this time, we determined to make the trip more special! Lodging: Colmar Tropicale The view from our window We wanted to stay at the market square, in the heart of the festivities. The French decor was lovely but our room seems a bit run-down. Maybe it's time for maintenance. Apart from that, comfy and cozy! Date: 7 January 2011 Animal Park Entrance Fee: RM3 We played with the rabbits and donkeys! Keep me warm buddy! Look at those CUTE eyes!! Hungry Donkey!

Me & Hollywood Glamorous Night!

Image
Ju.Zie Roberts, The Younger Sister of Julia Roberts! Date: 14 January 2011 My company's family day included a prestigous dinner event at First World Hotel, Genting Highlands. The theme was: Hollywood Glamorous ! It is not everyday I get the chance to feel pretty, put on some make ups, wear striking clothes! To start my glamorous night, I actually behaved very kampung-like (in English, this means people from the country side). Upon arrival at the top of Genting Highlands: Me: Hasben, go ask the Baskin Robin Lady, where is One World Hotel. Hasben to Baskin Robin Lady: Can you please show us the way to One World Hotel? Baskin Robin Lady: One World?? There's no One World Hotel but I can show you the way to First World Hotel. Hasben to Me: Can you stop embarrassing me? We walked away from Baskin Robin Lady with little pride, and all our balik kampung bags (including iron)! My gorgeous accessories! (I wish!~) I own no glamorous dress... and no way I'm going t...

Genting Theme Park, Hooray! On our way up! Date: 14-15 January 2011 My company's family day this year was super fun - at Genting Theme P ark ! On 14 Jan, we had a special dinner with the theme: Hollywood Glamorous! The next day, free and easy a.k.a play all day long. Me and Hasben had a blast ! Lodging: First World Hotel A very colourful building. Since the company is paying for hundreds of staff's accomodation, my expectation was not high. Everything is compact... even the ' wardrobe' is attached to the wall! The room was very small but had all the essential things. I was glad that I brought along my own iron, we may need to request for it since it's not provided in the room. The cafe area is very huge with soooo many people. We were advised to have our breakfast early to avoid the crowd. On our way up: Genting Skyway We chose to ride the fastest cable car in South-East Asia to go to the top instead of driving there. Yup... we carried our ...
