Hotel: The Ascott, KL

 After our dinner date at Ben's, JulieZac and I went back to her posh lodging, The Ascott, a walking distance from KLCC - across the street from Mandarin Oriental (still hoping to spend a night here one day)... *wink wink*

This is a really posh apartment - a kitchen, 2 bedrooms with 1 bathroom each! We chit chatted after I settled down from inspecting every corner... Hihi!

The toilets were surprisingly provided without washing pipes, so manual water collection using glass is required (-_-)"


One of the best hotel toiletries I've ever seen - L'Occitane!!

The Kiblat sign is not on the ceiling but in the drawer near the save of the master bedroom. It is hard to find without asking the staff.


Breakfast was... Hmmm... 2/5: Low rating because of the limited variety of food. However, the view was a bit special since it was at the Sky Lounge. Peaceful KL in the morning~

Kimi will be 3 soon and guess what, he is also a newly-appointed big brother! The first book from her that I read was Under the Duvet, and the second was The Other Side of The Story - both I borrowed from UTM's library. She writes about characters with real life issues and manage to make the situation light although it's actually a dark topic. At the end of the day, readers will learn about complicated issues without feeling depressed. She delivers the message and adds humor to it - just brilliant! Plus, I learned a few Irish words! Sushi for Beginners is about the lives of 3 different ladies, all facing depressions. Different characters have a different coping mechanism. Melbourne, Australia

Melbourne Weekend Getaway! Date: 13 May 2011 It is not often you hear someone say, "I'm going to Australia just for the weekend". However, it actually happened to me, not intentionally, but accidentally... I booked my flight ticket (in August 2010 for the lowest fare possible!!) without double checking and ended up with only 2 full days to spend in Melbourne. To make the best of it, I pre-booked full day tours for both days... which left out any opportunity for Melbourne city sight-seeing - how sad! From LCCT, KLIA to Melbourne Airport, it took about 8 hours flight - which I can't sleep for most part of it!! - and the time difference is plus 2 hours from Malaysia.
