Happy New Year 2015!

And I am Thirty! 

Another new year in Toowoomba. Could possibly be my last one though. Anyway, am currently writing this post using my 'new' Samsung Note 3. A belated birthday present from Hasben. He was very determined to convert me (yet again) to Androidisme...  Since I totally disliked my previous S2, he let me experience this Note 3 for about 3 days to let me decide whether I would like to maintain my iPhone 5, or convert. Needless to say, here I am, married to this Note 3. Loving the S Pen and hopefully, I won't need a tablet anymore :-) But honestly, I do miss my Apple apps.


Me turning 30? Not the best thing to happen.  Kind of  worried about the usual things - wrinkles, pigmentation, flabbiness... Anyway, the birthday dinner was celebrated a day later because Sofras was fully booked on 23rd November. I 'kumpul kelaparan' to ensure that I enjoyed the food,  and Hasben was looking embarrassed: Ju,  please stop eating and breath.


Since Hasben didn't get me any birthday cake, I decided to bake myself a pandan cake on the 25th... And asked everyone to sing a birthday song. So as you can see, as you grow older, you have to be proactive, or else, there will be no celebration... And in my case, it was a 3-day celebration! (muka x malu, haha).

Kimi will be 3 soon and guess what, he is also a newly-appointed big brother! This time around, Prince Court is not in the picture - being full-time students, we can only afford to attend Toowoomba Base Hospital, a government hospital so this will be a whole new experience for me, not to mention being in a whole different country! The first book from her that I read was Under the Duvet, and the second was The Other Side of The Story - both I borrowed from UTM's library. She writes about characters with real life issues and manage to make the situation light although it's actually a dark topic. At the end of the day, readers will learn about complicated issues without feeling depressed. She delivers the message and adds humor to it - just brilliant! Plus, I learned a few Irish words! Sushi for Beginners is about the lives of 3 different ladies, all facing depressions. Different characters have a different coping mechanism. Melbourne Weekend Getaway! Date: 13 May 2011 It is not often you hear someone say, "I'm going to Australia just for the weekend". However, it actually happened to me, not intentionally, but accidentally... I booked my flight ticket (in August 2010 for the lowest fare possible!!) without double checking and ended up with only 2 full days to spend in Melbourne. To make the best of it, I pre-booked full day tours for both days... which left out any opportunity for Melbourne city sight-seeing - how sad! From LCCT, KLIA to Melbourne Airport, it took about 8 hours flight - which I can't sleep for most part of it!! - and the time difference is plus 2 hours from Malaysia.
