Lake Apex, Gatton, QLD.

Another Sunday adventure with my little family. Our itinerary for today was to visit Ipswich's water park. By 2PM, we were already packed to go home because it was a really hot day.

Beautiful sky along Warrego Highway. 

We decided to check out Lake Apex in Gatton as most of our friends have been there for BBQs and picnics.


It is a nice little lake, with many species of birds and ducks.



The kids's playgrounds were quite good. There's a shaded and gated area which is very suitable for toddlers like Kimi, and a more challenging one for older kids.



My absolute favourite is the bicycle-train thingy, which was loads of fun!


There are a few BBQ shelters too which makes it a great spot for a family day out - lovely play area, comfy BBQ facilities and awesome scenery!

Kimi will be 3 soon and guess what, he is also a newly-appointed big brother! This time around, Prince Court is not in the picture - being full-time students, we can only afford to attend Toowoomba Base Hospital, a government hospital so this will be a whole new experience for me, not to mention being in a whole different country! The first book from her that I read was Under the Duvet, and the second was The Other Side of The Story - both I borrowed from UTM's library. She writes about characters with real life issues and manage to make the situation light although it's actually a dark topic. At the end of the day, readers will learn about complicated issues without feeling depressed. She delivers the message and adds humor to it - just brilliant! Plus, I learned a few Irish words! Sushi for Beginners is about the lives of 3 different ladies, all facing depressions. Different characters have a different coping mechanism. Melbourne Weekend Getaway! Date: 13 May 2011 It is not often you hear someone say, "I'm going to Australia just for the weekend". However, it actually happened to me, not intentionally, but accidentally... I booked my flight ticket (in August 2010 for the lowest fare possible!!) without double checking and ended up with only 2 full days to spend in Melbourne. To make the best of it, I pre-booked full day tours for both days... which left out any opportunity for Melbourne city sight-seeing - how sad! From LCCT, KLIA to Melbourne Airport, it took about 8 hours flight - which I can't sleep for most part of it!! - and the time difference is plus 2 hours from Malaysia.
