Wo Hen Gao Xing Xue Huayu! I Am Very Happy To Learn Mandarin! Duration: June - December 2010 Last Class: 18 December 2010 I have always wanted to study at least one foreign language and actually master it. During my school days, I tried a bit of Cantonese and very very little Tamil thanks to my classmates. Why I decided to join a Mandarin class? Well, during my honermoon trip with Hasben, our tour guide, Mr Tan was explaining in English, Malay and Mandarin. Everytime he spoke Mandarin through the bus's microphone, my mind wanders elsewhere. Get Vaccinated Ladies! Based on the doctor who introduced this vaccine to the ladies in my company, cervical cancer is the only cancer with a vaccine, at the moment... hopefully more to come... scientists, please research fast! The human papillomavirus ( HPV ) vaccine may prevent infection from the development of cervical cancer. European ladies have been taking this vaccine for quite some time. I only just heard about this very recently, and from statistics, not many Malaysian ladies are guarded from this virus. This year, Malaysian government is giving free injections of this vaccine to Malaysian girls age 13... so for you Form 1 students out there, don't waste time! What happens if you're not 13? Like me... well, I had to pay RM560 for Cervarix Vaccine - 3 dosages: First Dosage: 17/5/10 Second Dosage: 1 month later - 24/6/2010 Third Dosage: 6 months later - 6/12/2010 3 injections!! Auww! The Muggle Has Finally Watched HP7!! Date: 18 December 2010 At last... After 1 month of waiting, I finally watched HP7 at the cinemas. Many attempts before this were met with disapointments. Although the whole world have seen this movie by now, and would be saying "That's old news man! Stop embarassing yourself!".. I really couldn't care less. The movie was great great great and it was a good idea to split the story into 2 parts. The previous movies did not meet my expectations because they skiped so many scenes. The storylines moved too fast and may confuse the viewers who hadn't read the books first. At some points, they got a bit boring. However, this time, I can't wait for Part 2!! My Collection of Hard Rock Pins! As a hobby, I collect pins on places I visited since I was 10 years old. My mom used to buy me pins when I was younger. Now that I'm older, Hard Rock pins are added to my collection. It started in Bali, Indonesia when I couldn't find a Bali pin at the souvenir shops. Instead, I went into Bali Hard Rock Hotel and bought a pin there. Since then, it became my objective to purchase one from the places I visited, even if it means walking for 1 hr (in the case of Amsterdam), getting lost in the process of finding the Hard Rock Cafes (Paris, Rome), intense research from the internet (London), getting squashed on Metro (India), etc... Souvenirs From The Holy Land Date: 13 December 2010 My In-Laws are back from Mekah yesterday. 2 months away from Malaysia, they got home with many bags and boxes of souvenirs and plenty of interesting stories to share. They were among the last batch to fly home, thus considered the lucky ones. Why? Well, during the peak season of Hajj, billions of Muslims are competing to touch the Kaabah and other significant sites. The longer they stayed, the lesser the people as many have returned to their home countries.  Mama’s prayer to hug the Kaabah was fulfilled, which she couldn’t have achieved with bigger, stronger Arab/Sudanese/etc men, struggling to do the same. Hopefully one day, I can write about my own experience of Hajj, and is able to stay there as long as possible. Amin!
